A Spaceman's Journey

July 3, 2013
A spaceman set out on a trip
From Andromeda's spiral arm tip
        He flew across space
        At a terrible pace
Through a space-time continuum rip

July 3, 2013
At light-speed he found that things are
Quite relative when they are far
        His trip was cut short
        With an engine abort
And he ended up next to our star

July 6, 2013
When he spotted our pretty blue globe it
Seemed like a good place to orbit
       Our broadcasts he captured
       Becoming enraptured
'Cause our daytime TV is real sordid

July 13, 2013
He came down in the backwoods of Arkansas
Where your brother is likely your son-in-law
